Just spent about 15 minutes on Facebook.
Remembered why I never ever get on.
I don't care about what any of my *friends* are doing. People are pretty boring, generally.
That's awful. I don't enjoy being reminded that I'm an awful person.
So I avoid Facebook as a rule.
That's probably better in the long run, I suppose. Because I've read studies where seeing other people's curated happiness makes the viewer see their own lives as unhappy in comparison. The thing is, people are curating their online personas. We all do it. So that's why it's strange they did a study where seeing more positive posts made people post more positively, and vice versa. Hmm.
ReplyDeleteYeah, to be honest, darlin', I mostly go on it because that's where I get to talk with you and Cait most often. It's rather painful to see. Like the beggars in India all over again. Everyone's desperate to sell you something, and you feel sorry for them, but ... anyway. You are not awful. You are not. I miss you.
